It was narrated that:
Sa'd said: “The Messenger of Allah disapproved of Uthman bin Maz'un's
desire to remain celibate; if he had given him permission,
we would have gotten ourselves castrated.”

ARABIC)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ
‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ: ‏‏‏‏
لَقَدْ رَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
عَلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ التَّبَتُّلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَوْ أَذِنَ لَهُ لَاخْتَصَيْنَا

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عثمان بن مظعون رضی اللہ عنہ
کی شادی کے بغیر زندگی گزارنے کی درخواست رد کر دی،
اگر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اجازت
دی ہوتی تو ہم خصی ہو جاتے ۱
